Best Christmas Outfit Competition

Best Christmas Outfit Competition

In the run up to Christmas 2016, Suretank held our Annual Best Christmas Outfit Competition!  As usual it was a great day, fun was had by all as we entered the festive season! Competition was very tough this year as employees really put their creative hats on!!!!

Great efforts were made by staff and even some of their children got involved!!   We were delighted to announce that this year we had two joint very worthy winners……Barry Woods & Niall Bayly!  Both Niall and Barry went to great lengths to personalise and design their outfits!  They could be seen and heard throughout the office with their many bells and lights, well done to them both!!

We ran this event in aid of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

“The Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVP) was founded in Ireland in 1844. It is the largest voluntary charitable organisation in Ireland.  During its history it has helped people in need through a Famine, a Civil War, a War of Independence, two World Wars and several economic recessions.

They focus on practical approach to dealing with poverty, alleviating its effects on individuals and families through working primarily in person-to-person contact by a unique system of family visitation and seeking to achieve social justice and equality of opportunity for all citizens.”

Suretank Team Spirit

Suretank Team Spirit

The Suretank team spirit was out in full force on Friday last, 14th October 2016 as we participated in GOAL’s Jersey Day!  We were delighted to take part as it always proves to be a fun day and is an opportunity to show solidarity and support for those living in vulnerable communities across the world.

GOAL is currently working in 19 countries. One of their main focuses this year is on Gambella in Ethiopia, where GOAL has been working with SouthSudanese refugees since 2013. GOAL is leading a lifesaving nutrition programme in Kule and Tierkadi refugee camps where malnutrition levels arehigh, particularly among children. GOAL is there to provide the nutritional support those children need.

All monies raised from our Jersey Day will go towards GOAL’s life-saving programmes across some of the most vulnerable communities across the developing world.

Getting into the Team Spirit

Suretank's chairman Patrick Joy was guest speaker recently at an InterTradeIreland Venture Capital Conference held in Belfast where he referred to the importance of nurturing a team approach and how the team ethos transcends Suretank's global business activities.

What better way to depict our team spirit and corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities than in this recent photo taken at our Head Office in Dunleer showing staff taking part in the GOAL Jersey day charity event.

Everyone across the business took part in what was the biggest and best Jersey Day in Goal's 37 year history. The total amount raised by GOAL on the day was in excess of €100k which will be used to help improve the lives of thousands of impoverished people across the developing world.

Well done to all! For those of you we missed, we will have to ensure we get your picture next year!
